Sandra is from Mexico. She has been working in cooperation with the US Forest Service International Program activities since 2003. She has 10 years international experience in includes Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Jamaica. She has also worked as a consultant to Government of Nicaragua, GTZ, USAID, UNDP, World Bank, and other international organizations.
Jerry Wylie
Ecotourism & Heritage Interpretation
BA Anthropology: MS Archaeology
Jerry has more than 30 years experience working as in archeology, interpretation, heritage conservation, and ecotourism. He has worked for the US Forest Service throughout the US and he has worked internationally in Central America, Caribbean, Pacific Islands, and Asia. Jerry is the owner of an ecotourism company in the US. He is a Certified Interpretive Trainer, Certified Interpretive Guide and a Certified kayak instructor/guide.
Brooke Thurau
Ecotourism Specialist
MS Forest Management, PhD Candidate
Brooke has experience in sustainable tourism planning, environmental education, and conservation of natural and cultural resources. She recently received her Masters of Science degree in human dimensions of natural resource planning from the Department of Forestry at Southern Illinois University. Her thesis emphasis was on sustainable tourism opportunities in the Panama Canal Watershed region. She has been working in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service International Programs in Nicaragua and Panama.
